1st Lt. Kenneth C Kinne was the Co-Pilot in the McHorter flight crew. The McHorter crew seemed to have joined the 392nd Bombardment Squadron last in the War - perhaps Jan 1945. They would have been based on Saipan, and their most frequent taregts would have been Iwo Jima, Chichi Jima, and Haha Jima. They were transferred back to Hawaii in Mar 1945.

On July 30 1945, Lt Russell E Reeves was test flying a B-24D that the 392nd Bombardment Squadron had just converted to carry cargo. After take -off, the plane was never heard from again. The wreckage was spotted on a mountain the next day.

Lt Russell E Reeves was not flying with his flight crew on the day the EVELYN crashed. He was flying with Robert E McHorter's (#0-827824) flight crew. Lt. Robert E McHorter was not with his crew thatfter the day of the crash. McHorter became Pilot of the Stricklin flight crew after the crash.
