Gladys Kingsbury was my aunt… Her mother was Mary Foley Kennedy

and her father was George Kennedy. She was probably born in northern Illinois, though I am not sure… She had two older brothers, and five sisters… she had a beauty shop in Iowa I was told. She married Leslie Kingsbury, and they never had any children. I only met her a few times. She and her husband moved to Las Vegas around the early 1950s, and bought or built a motel and also other buildings I was told. Some of her sisters and also her mother eventually moved to Las Vegas. My mother kept in contact with her thoughout her life, and was with her when she passed away. Gladys and her husband built a nice home in Las Vegas, which our family visited one afternoon while we were on vacation, many years ago. My mother was afraid that we might disturb something in the home, so we were sent out to the back yard for the remainder of the visit… I doubt that many children were visitors in their home. I know that Gladys and Leslie did do some world travel. He lived longer than she did, and my mother thought that he was a very nice person. I remember that they came to visit our home in Iowa when I was a young girl… they had been trout fishing out west somewhere, and brought us some trout packed in dry ice. Leslie had children from his first marriage, though I do not know much about them.
