Tim and I met when he dialed a wrong phone number, and got me.

It was my brother Jerry's birthday. Jerry and the rest of my family was on vacation in Minnesota when I received a call from a very nice-sounding man, asking for Geri. As it was Jerry's birthday, I explained that he was on vacation in Minnesota. Tim was from Minnesota, in town on Active Duty with the Air Force Reserves, and very confused, as he was calling for a GIRL named Geri. We finally determined he had the wrong number, and the call ended.

A little while later, he called back. He'd had to borrow dimes from his friends, to feed the phone booth, and call variations of the number he had been trying to reach, until he finally found me again.

We met for coffee, the next evening. I fell in love, the first day. The rest, as they say, is history.

We married in 1978, and were together a total of 31 years. Tim was my soulmate, my love, my husband, and my best friend. I will always love him.
