Leck was born in Texas, he married Dorothy Ross and they had 2 children, a daughter Katherine in about 1915 and a son Rodney Ross in about 1917. Ross, as his family called him went on the join the AAC before WWII broke was declaired in the US. He was to become a famous Doolittle Raider, the Co-Pilot to the Ship/CREW #5 of the Raiders that launched off of the heaving USS Hornet and successfully bomb Japan.

Col Rodney Ross "HOSS" Wilder retired from a full career in the AAC/USAF. He was assigned by Doolittle himself as the Commanding Oddicer of the 380th Bomb Squadron of the 310th BG. B-25 Mitchells out of Africa, 1942 /WWII.

He was born 3/3/1890 to the late M/M. J.R. Wilder of the old Gano Comm. Married to the former Dorothy Ross of Alvarado who preceded him in death. Member of First Christian Church. He was a retired cattleman/rancher.

Holman of Taylor; son, Ross Wilder of Dallas; 3 grandsons, Newton Ross Holman and Gregg Wilder Holman of Taylor and Morris Wilder of Dallas; granddaughter, Mrs. William Kantenberger of Dallas; 2 great-grandchildren, Mary and Bill Kantenberger of Dallas; 3 sisters, Mrs. Julia Talley of Elgin, Mrs. Nona Simmons of Thorndale, and Mrs. Mary Teague of Elgin; brother, Joe Wilder of Austin.
