is Life, Civil War Service and an account of the Brandenburg affair which almost ignited a war between Kentucky & Indiana Nov 1857- 1858, 2 Years before the Civil War Started .His biography, "Fortune Favors the Brave," was written by Benjamin S. Harrison in 1953. He wrote "On the Old West Coast" and "Reminisences of a Ranger."
