Bud was the son of Robert Leo and Bessie Purtle Weaver. He married Barbara Reed on Jan. 30, 1948, in Lewistown, and she survives.

Mr. Weaver was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army. He was a member of the 29th Division, which landed on Omaha Beach.

He is a member of the Havana VFW Post 6408, where he has served as Commander for two terms. He has also served as the State Commander of the VFW.

He drove a truck for J.D. Street for 35 years, retiring in 1981.

He is survived by two sons, Gary Allen Weaver and Robert Leo Weaver; one daughter, Debra Jean Scaggs; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two brothers, Cliff Weaver and Carroll Weaver; and one sister, Lena Weaver of Wataga, Ill.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Virginia and Urene; and two brothers, Calvin and Bill.
