Arthur Hargis Lambert

rthur “Tom” Hargis Lambert was born January 25, 1912, in Nacogdoches Texas. The son of Elton Lester Lambert and Willie Lenora Morris. He entered the Seabees in 1943. Tom trained at Camp Peary, Virginia, and Port Hueneme, California. He went oversea in November 1943. He served in Hawaii, The Marshall Islands, The Solomon Islands, The Philippines, and New Caledonia. He was awarded commendations for expert marksmanship, He received the Asian Pacific of Operations Ribbon, 3 Battle Stars, The Philippine Liberation Medal, and The American Defense Medal. He was discharged in 1945. He worked in Construction and was a member of the Baptist Church.
